Meet Eli M. Baron, MD

Eli M. Baron, MD is a board certified neurosurgeon with the Spine Center. Dr. Baron completed his spine fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 2007. Prior to coming to Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Baron completed a neurosurgical residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also received additional training in orthopaedic spine surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Baron is board certified in neurological surgery. He is a member of numerous academic medical and neurosurgical/ spine societies including Alpha Omega Alpha, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. He received his bachelors degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Baron has published extensively in the fields of spine surgery and neurological surgery. He has published over forty five peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. He has presented both basic and clinical research at many national and international meetings. Dr. Baron has also served as an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Neurotrauma, Surgical Neurology, the Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases and Spine. Dr. Baron is co-editor of the textbook Operative Techniques: Spine Surgery published by Elsevier in June 2012.
